Located close to Samos town, on the beautiful island of Samos. when I am not working on developing my practice as a ceramicist, I enjoy teaching the art of pottery.
Summer Pottery Workshops
Make your own unique souvenir of your stay on Samos
Experience making a pot and learn to make handles to turn your pot into a cup or jug. Using slabs of clay, we make tiles or a dish which we decorate using carved Indian woodblocks and coloured liquid clay.
There is also the option to try your hand at making a pot on the potter’s wheel (3 hours).
Your creations are left to dry in the sun and then twice fired in the kiln, this takes one week. You can collect your work or I can post it to you for the cost of the postage.
Maximum five participants, minimum age 8 years.
Cost: 60 euros per person.
Weekly Courses
These courses are offered year round and can be tailored to suit beginners, intermediate or advanced learners. Four weekly sessions.
Learn different hand building and clay slab techniques. Different decorating techniques are explored and in the last session you are given the chance to try your hand at throwing a pot on the potter’s wheel (2.5 hours per week).
Maximum eight participants.
Cost (includes tuition, materials and all kiln firings): 180 euros.
One-to-one classes, pottery parties, children's classes, pottery wheel courses offered upon request.
